Columbine Elementary Masterclass Series 2018-2019. A whole school year done now, and I realize now that I did not take enough pictures. Or not enough good pictures to capture the experience. Well, I hope you get the gist. I love you, Columbine! Thank you for teaching me more than I taught you.
It snowed— of course it snowed!— for Friday Night Creative Chill’s “Painted Flower Pots” class. In fact, it is snowing again while I write this! Good thing we expect these types of weather shenanigans here in Colorado, and also that we are prepared for when it finally decides to be planting season once again. Next month’s class is full with a waitlist, so if you haven’t already signed up for that one, give July’s offering a try. Thank you, Teller County!
It was fun, relaxing, and chill! Just as promised. So many beautiful hands making so much beautiful art at the Ute Pass Cultural Center on a beautiful Friday night. Thank you to all who participated! Much love and get ready for May's event: Painted Flower Pots. Sign up through Woodland Park Parks and Rec here!
I intended to cap the class at 15, but couldn’t resist the happy extra registrants! Last night, Friday Night Creative Chill celebrated our most filled-to-the-brim class ever, and had one heck of an art adventure with copper etching. Between the ferric chloride, the neutralizing baths, the liver of sulphur, and the crystalline wax, there was also Chardonnay, White Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Talk about mad science! The results were exciting, the company enchanting, and the night a smash hit. Thank you to all the wonderful folks willing to dive into the deep end with me! See ya next time for...
If you're going to the Boots and Business Dinner and Awards event this month, go 'head and bid on these amazing silent auctions items! Surely you'd love to come to Friday Night Creative Chill with a friend and furthermore send some awesome kiddo to an entire week of art camp while supporting your local chamber of commerce, amiright?
